  1. 27:17 the way they could have shut it down was by being policy heavy and giving everybody big and engaging announcements to talk about instead. If you can say "this is a nothing burger, here's what we are actually doing and why it is great for Britain."

  2. Absolutely clueless. It astounds me that the Tory party are not able to understand or accept that they fundamentally lost the election because of incompetency, corruption, double standards and divisive policies. Until they look in the mirror and face up to that, they’ll be forever in the wilderness. Personally, I hope they stay there as long as possible and/or until they have a complete reincarnation

  3. There is no centre ground in politics anymore, it is the common ground that elections now need to be won from. Like Kemi says not right or left or centre between the two – it is just between right and wrong actions.

  4. Honestly, this interview with Schapps has me frustrated. Looking to hear about the conservatives looking forward and (as usual) only hear about “Keir Starmer is finding this difficult”.
Tell me about your side dude, fuckenell… 😂

  5. I believe Jenric can. He can turn table around. Young , ambitious and gets the major problems which need to reform. Keir went for chamikadze jump in one month. Ppl never forget this.

  7. I have to correct Grant Shapps on losing the General Election. The Cons didn't lose because they'd moved from the centre-right (a debatable position of guaranteed success anyway). They lost because they were incompetent and corrupt. Their political judgement was amateur. A significant number of the Electorate demonstrated that, apart from voting in a new Labour Government, they wanted anybody but the Cons. Shapps needs to understand that it could be over for the Cons if they assume that they can continue business as usual.
As for Taylor Swift – The Beatles got the same treatment. (oops, they've mentioned that).
This is an invention of poor behaviour. It's nothing.

  8. How can the two Tory candidates whose answer to the last 13 years is 'we needed to do that harder' in anyway a legitimate choice. You'll lose the nutjobs to the pyramid scheme of Reform, and the rest to Labour or other parties.

  9. After 14 years of government, and all the nonsense that ensued, that got them kicked out by a massive majority, by an electorate fed up of their idiocy and lies. The Tories still haven't realised it was their own fault. Shapps papping on about 100 days of Kier Starmer as PM embodies this. Biggest own goal ever but they still haven't realised it. Breaks the habit of a lifetime, but the Tories need to realise their own failings. Can't see it happening.

  10. Taylor Swift absolutely should have had a lot of security, given the recent events in Austria. Plus our PM speaking to her about the horrific events at Southport was the right to do as well. This is a made-up story by the right wing press to discredit Labour, and they will continue to do it.

  11. Don’t agree at all with his politics but Grant really felt like he was trying to give a genuine and interesting analysis of British politics and keeping it relevant to the current leadership of Starmer too. Matliss too often cut him off from quite candid discussion. Almost like he could be on TRiP with Rory

  12. "It's better to have a consistant position" – I nearly spat my coffee out when I heard Grant Shapps say that with a straight face after 5 Prime Ministers in 14 years. Government that he spent moving from job to job in. At least my day has started with a laugh.

  13. Thank you both for talking sense on this Prime Minister meets world influencing figure debacle. It's what heads of state do! Imagine the alternative headlines…..Starmer in Swift snub!! Taylor left open to terrorist threat as Starmer beats Swift retreat!
