Tbh, even if that scene with the old dress in SH2R ended on a more positive note, I just do my best to avoid most things with that joke like a plague.
I'm really just done with the thinly-veiled of the original that it ends up being most of the time.
That plus everything I see feels like it's SH2 but slightly lesser. Like yeah, the scenes just don't hit the mark as well.
Kinda the opposite problem with P3R, where the scenes they adapt kinda fell flat because it adds something unnecessary or follows the animations from the original to its detriment.
I love Burmecia, its such a drastic tone shift from the game prior.
Also I found out from your twitter that one of my favorite protagonists, Estelle Bright, from Trails in the Sky, was butchered by localization. To say my feelings are mixed would be an understatement.

"it's good. not 70 bucks good but good." well that's the problem. why even remake a classic game like sh2 in the first place? the remixed music is worse and some of the voice acting is worse. unless you're a gamer who just consumes everything i don't know why you'd waste your money when the original is still easily emulated
