Such a good point Jess! Would have been so much better to have made it more about the fighters. I lovvvvvvvved the ring girls looks!!!! They should have themed ring girls for every PPV, the regular looks are outdated and tacky as hell

When was their ever a strike era UFC is Basically dominated by folkstyle wrestling they have 72 ufc belts that's more belts won by the USA then all other nations combined and most of those champions have a wrestling background.

Ang and Jess talk about how they enjoy the pageantry of the show but when Luke Thomas brought this up, so many fans just didn’t care for the pageantry part. It seems like they’re all brainwashed into thinking just show me the fights and when they get pageantry they get triggered. Kind of sad.

Personally, I would have been ok if the Aldana fight had been stopped. Valentina's check right hook finally made a reappearance in this latest fight and seemed to "freeze" Grasso and set up the takedowns very nicely.
According to Javier Mendez Umar is more of a submission specialist than a wrestler, which would potentially be a huge advantage against Merab's style.

The one thing about "there's many ways to win in MMA and go watch a sport that does only striking" is this is more an entertainment sport than an Olympic sport. There is a reason no one watches Olympic things like wrestling and BJJ or point fighting (except the people who partake in those sports). Even boxing is struggling right now because the only people marketable are the ones who can finish fights or are social media personalities. This is why on DWCS Dana has tried to be more picky with who he lets through to the point it seemed harsh a couple times but he is looking for entertaining fighters because boring ones will tank their profits. And if people don't think profits matter then why do so many MMA promotions collapse?

I truly enjoyed the entire card i dont care that much about the complaints regarding the main and co-main cause for me it just said a lot on Merab and Vals ability to shut down their opponents. It says more about the limitations Grasso and Sean have actually also i think the complaints about Herb should be around questioning why he didn't stop the Aldana fight before the 3rd round cause that cut got very bad at the end of it.
