The way that Angela isn't reacting to Toni yelling in her face shows that she's used to it. It's so sad to see. And her demanding respect even in she did foul things to Angela is…something. Angela seems to be flourishing now though!
The way Angela said “So rock it” informs me she has rumbled with her mom before. Their relationship is very toxic. It maybe too late to salvage Toni, mental illness or attention seeking seems to be her personality.

I feel like Im listening to my homegirl talking when I watch your videos! Awesome video! Toni was beautiful in her prime but she is nuts. The way she treats Angela is awful and I wouldn’t dare trust her around my kids. Despite how horrific Toni treats Angela, it seems like Angela is driven by a child’s natural instinct to bond with their mother.
The problem with generational trauma in families of bw is real. It impacts a child’s mental health and development profoundly. Being born into that environment, the toxicity started when my great grandmother abandoned my grandmother in the south, remarried and moved to New York to start a new life. If an issue isn’t addressed earlier, it manifests itself in multiple generations. There’s no manual to guide ppl through parenting. That generational trauma shit had to stop with me and I made sure it did. Most of my friend’s parents are from Toni’s messy, antiquated belief having, drug and crime riddled Generation X (of course, not all) and they wonder why us Millennials are still tryna cope with life😂🥴🤷🏾♀️
