So her Lord accepted her with gracious acceptance and caused her to grow in a good manner and put her in the care of Zechariah. Every time Zechariah entered upon her in the sanctuary, he found with her provision. He said, “O Mary, from where did you get this?” She said, “It is from Allah. Indeed, Allah provides for whom He wills without account.” 37 There Zechariah called upon his Lord. He said, “My Lord, grant me from Yourself good offspring. Indeed, You are the Hearer of supplication.” 38 —– It was revealed in Medina, and that is agreed upon. Many virtues have been established in this Surah from the hadiths of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and from the words of the Companions, may Allah be pleased with them. In Sahih Muslim, on the authority of Abu Umamah: He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah say: “Recite the two bright ones: Al-Baqarah and Al-Imran.” And in Sahih Muslim as well, on the authority of Al-Nawwas bin Sam’an: He said: I heard the Prophet say: “The Qur’an will be brought on the Day of Resurrection, preceded by Surah Al-Baqarah and Al-Imran.” And Ad-Darimi narrated in his Musnad: That Uthman bin Affan said: “Whoever recites Surah Al-Imran at night, it will be recorded for him as having spent a night in prayer.” And Ibn Abbas named it in his hadith in Sahih. He said: “I spent the night in the house of the Messenger of God, and the Messenger of God slept until it was midnight or a little before or a little after, and the Messenger of God woke up and recited the verses from the end of Surat Al Imran.” Names of Surat Al Imran and the reason for the name? The surah was named (Al Imran) because it mentions the story of that virtuous family (Al Imran), the father of Mary, the mother of Jesus, and the preparation of Mary, whom her mother dedicated to worship, and God’s provision for her in the sanctuary and her selection and preference over the women of the world of her time, and her being given the good news of giving birth to Jesus, the owner of miracles, and the manifestations of divine power that were revealed in this surah. Al Imran and Al Baqarah were named the two lights; Because they are the two lights that guide their reader to the truth with what they contain of lights, meanings, or because of what results from reading them of complete light on the Day of Resurrection, or because they share what is included in the greatest name of Allah: Abu Dawud, Ibn Majah and others narrated on the authority of Asma bint Yazid that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “The greatest name of Allah is in these two verses: {And your God is one God; there is no god but He, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful}, and the one in Al Imran: {Allah; there is no god but He, the Ever-Living, the Self-Sustaining}” Why was the beginning of the Surah revealed? It is proven in the narration of Ibn Ishaq, Ibn Jarir, Abu Hatim and others that the reason for the revelation of this Surah was the issue of the Najran delegation from the land of Yemen. The Najran delegation was a people from Najran who were informed of the mission of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. The people of Najran were Christians, and they were among the most sincere Arabs in adhering to the religion of Christ. There were famous monks among them, and they established a Kaaba for Christianity in their country.[1]Ibn Abi Hatim narrated: On the authority of Al-Rabi’ bin Anas, who said: The Christians came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and argued with him about Jesus, son of Mary, and said to him: Who is his father? And they told lies and slander against Allah. So the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to them: “Do you not know that every son resembles his father?” They said: “Yes.” He said: “Do you not know that our Lord is alive and does not die, and that Jesus will die?” They said: “Yes.” He said: “Do you not know that our Lord is in charge of everything, protecting it, preserving it, and providing for it?” They said: “Yes.” He said: “Does Jesus have control over any of that?” They said: “No.” He said: “Do you not know that nothing on earth or in heaven is hidden from Allah?” They said: “Yes.” He said: “Does Jesus know anything about that except what he knows?” They said: “No.” He said: “Our Lord fashioned Jesus in the womb as He willed. Do you not know that our Lord does not eat food, drink, or relieve himself?” They said: “Yes.” He said: “Do you not know that Jesus’ mother carried him as a woman carries a child, then gave birth to him as a woman gives birth to her child, then he was nourished as a woman nourishes a child, then he would eat food, drink, and relieve himself?” They said: “Yes.” He said: “How can this be as you claim?” They knew, but they refused except to deny it. So Allah revealed: {Allah – there is no god except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of[all]existence.}[2]. Among the objectives of this Surah The beginning of this Surah included many objectives, the most important of which are: 1- Allah Almighty began this Surah with His Oneness, and mentioned some of His beautiful names, and that He, glory be to Him, sent down the Qur’an: confirming what preceded it of the heavenly books. He mentioned that among His verses are: the decisive; which the believers adhere to, and among them are the hidden ambiguous, which the disbelievers interpret according to their whims. 2- Then He mentioned that worldly pleasures are fleeting, and that the Hereafter is better and more lasting, and what is in it is only for the believers who are certain that the true religion is: Islam. 3- Then He taught the Messenger what to say when arguing with the disbelievers. He explained that some of the People of the Book are guided and some are disbelievers: they kill the prophets, and they claim that the Fire will not touch them except for a few days. And He ordered the believers not to take them as allies. 4- And know that His love, glory be to Him, is not complete except by following the Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him. 5 – He mentioned the stories of some of the chosen ones: Mary, Zachariah, John, and Jesus – peace be upon them – and the miracles that happened to Jesus, and he responded to what the Christians believed about him, that he was the son of God. 6 – He ordered the Prophet to call the People of the Book to a Mubahala and to pray that God would bring down His curse on the disbelievers. 7 – He responded to the Jews who said: Abraham was of our religion. He mentioned that the people closest to Abraham are those who followed him, the Prophet, the Muslims, etc.[3]@Faith and Knowledge: Faith is related to a set of beliefs that are specific to the religion to which you belong, while knowledge is human and not the monopoly of anyone. Faith is belief, while knowledge is research, discovery and verification. Faith is belief in the belief to which you belong. “If faith is lost, there is no security.” While knowledge is research, discovery and verification. #Your_Faith_and_Knowledge_Channel_Invites_You_to_Subscribe_to_the_Channel_and_Activate_the_Bell_to_Receive_All_News |موقع قفشات
