  1. Hadith

    Narrated Al-Bara:
I saw Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) on the day (of the battle) of the Trench carrying earth till the hair of his chest were covered with dust and he was a hairy man. He was reciting the following verses of `Abdullah (bin Rawaha): "O Allah, were it not for You, We would not have been guided, Nor would we have given in charity, nor prayed. So, bestow on us calmness, and when we meet the enemy. Then make our feet firm, for indeed, Yet if they want to put us in affliction, (i.e. want to fight against us) we would not (flee but withstand them)." The Prophet (ﷺ) used to raise his voice while reciting these verses. (See Hadith No. 432, Vol. 5).

  3. I wish, I was alive in those times. I'm sure, life was probably more diffcult in the past than now but it was still better. Look at this world now. It's full of hypocricy, evil and all about wealth and power. Family ties broken, trust issues, everyone's living like as if we're gonna live here for an eternity, morals gone, humanity gone and holding onto Islam is another challenge for Muslims. But the friendship, companionship and the way everyone there like Muslims, Sahabas etc were supporting and protecting each other, everyone and especially our Prophet Muhammad PBUH, the time they got to spend with him (PBUH) together, the faith they all had, the respect to each other, the family ties, everything was just better in the past DESPITE their trials. Alhamdulillah tho, despite the challenges we Muslims face now and still stay steadfast in our Religion is a blessing. It's not easy to do so nowadays. Be grateful to Allah (SWT) that He guided you/us because Wallahi it is truly a blessing. Let's try our best, be patient and make it to Jannah together, insha Allah. Don't forget: "Allah does not burden a soul beyond that it can bear" [2:286] Which means, we can do this with the help and will of Allah (SWT). May Allah (SWT) help and guide us. And may He protect us from all the evil and fitnah of this world. (Ameen)
